More About Our Grove
Our background
Dos Colinas derives its name from Spanish meaning two hills. Our Frantoio olive trees grow on our two small hills in the heart of the famous Stags Leap District of Napa Valley. The grove was purchased by The Hills family in 1998 and uses the variety of olives from the original that had been planted in the 1890's.

Our variety
Frantoio is the most noted olive oil variety of Tuscany, Italy, and one of the most highly acclaimed oil varieties in the world. It is grown commercially in most olive growing regions including Italy, North Africa, Australia, Argentina and California.

Our process
Our olives are hand picked and cold pressed the same day, using a hammer mill and three-phase centrifuge separator. The grove has been organically farmed since 2003 and utilizes the time-honored tradition of old world harvesting and production.
